HI Son, For EPD certification, we've consulted Fii CE team, but they feedback with below questions: 1) EPD is not a mandatory system regulated by law, Eagle launched from 2019, what is the main purpose for ALT to plan applying EPD certification in 2022? 2) Regarding the data requested, please kindly help to provide more details and official documents which suggested to provide the certain data you asked. (would be great if you can provide the real example file or official documents in Eng.) Besides, for the assembly part list, what kind of parts do we need to include? As from the example documents you provided, it looks like only need to list certain materials not all the parts. As EPD certification is kind of new to Fii CE team, we will need your help to provide more information. After we have sufficient information, we will arrange an internal meeting to discuss about this certification with related parties. BR, Carey |

Hi SH, I've raised the EPD request to our factory and related team members. However, our CE team have no experiences on applying EPD certification. It's kind of hard to drive them to provide the data without official confirmation from business team. And based on the english website, we cannot find related application form or document requirement policy. Thus, please help to ask Steve to officially inform our business team(Tiffanie) and discuss about your request to apply EPD certification. Hi Carey I think FII team some misunderstanding, so I'll clear it up 1. Korea EPD is progressed by ALT - this is only for Koran version. Not support English 2. Korea EPD is evaluate the energy required for manufacturing the product(Electricity consumption for final assembly) and the energy used by the product. - FII have to let us know "Electricity consumption for final assembly" and evidence (i.g. bill of Electricity) - ALT will evaluate energy used by the product (Power consumption). and the other data and process will handling it 3. Korea EPD data must be entered into the government system. - see the screen capture and example template 4. the Factory audit is required. - the auditor will verify "Electricity consumption for final assembly" and evidence (i.g. bill of Electricity) I think the FII(factory) will not have any difficulties. Hi Ms. Sheila Tu, As I mentioned in weekly meeting, SKB will not ask EPD Certification for Eagle and SWAN in this year. For EPD certification, Korean Government should visit and audit factory to check some data. But now we have COVID-19 worldwide. So Korean government decided that thwy will not visit foreign factory in this year. So I think we can close it now and reopen when SKB asked it again later. |
